KCR Ruling State Like Nizam: Striking GHMC Workers

The GHMC outsourced workers who have been on a strike demanding primarily a higher pay, have alleged that the TRS government was now resorting to executing the arrests of the striking employees instead of solving their problems.

In protest against the adamant attitude of the state government, the workers burnt an effigy of the government under the aegis of CITU at the RTC cross roads on Wednesday. When the police intervened, the striking workers had heated arguments with them.

The employees also raised slogans like "KCR down down" and "GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar down down".

Later, the workers took out a rally from the RTC cross roads to Indira Park where the leaders alleged that Chief Minister KCR was ruling the state like the erstwhile Nizam.

They pointed out that KCR, who had introduced "She Cabs" for women employees' protection, was now making the police arrest GHMC's women employees since the latter were protesting against him. (NSS)
