Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today ordered an inquiry into allegations that Etala Nithin, the son of ousted health minister Etala Rajender, grabbed some land in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
One Pitla Mahesh Mudiraj of Ravalkol village in the Medchal mandal filed a complaint that Etala Nithin grabbed his land, and urged the Chief Minister to launch an enquiry and take action on Nithin.
Reacting to this, the Chief Minister instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to start an inquiry to find the facts on the charges and sought an immediate report.
The CM also directed the revenue, ACB vigilance and other officials to find out facts.
The Chief Minister had earlier this month sacked Rajender on charges of grabbing assigned lands in Medak district and some other lands near Devara Yamjal. Investigation is ongoing as some revenue officials said that lands had indeed been grabbed by Jamuna Hatcheries owned by Rajender.
The former minister is demanding an enquiry by a sitting judge into the charges. He alleged that the government was using force to threaten him though he had not grabbed any land.
It is reported that the Chief Minister had been furious with Rajender for some time for his recurring comments against the government. Rajender had also been talking against the Chief Minister himself which reportedly led to his expulsion from the cabinet and the probe.
