The Telangana CM declared one month's basic salary as incentive for the revenue department staff for completing the land records purification program.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today announced an amount equal to one month's basic salary as incentive for the staff of the Revenue department for successfully completing the land records purification program.
The CM instructed the officials concerned to give a month's basic pay to each of 10,809 revenue employees, 24,410 VRAs and 530 survey employees (a total of 35,749 employees).
The CM congratulated the employees for successfully conducting the program in a record time of 100 days, often working day and night, which was never done in the country.
He said that having employees with such dedication and commitment was nothing but the good fortune of the Telangana people and farmers, and thanked the employees.
"The land records' maintenance was not done properly for the past 80 years. Updating the data on the purchase and sale of lands was handled quite poorly. This has resulted in land records becoming confusing. The revenue employees went to the villages, spoke to the farmers and brought in clarity about the ownership of lands by farmers as well of the assignee farmers, within just 100 days. This is a feat achieved by nobody else in the country. To encourage the employees we will give an amount equal to one month's basic salary as an incentive," the CM said.
"In Telangana a major percentage of the officials and staff work sincerely and with commitment. Compared to the past, there is a substantial improvement in the working of the employees. The government wants proper salaries for the employees who are implementing its programs. This is the reason that we gave a 42% fitment to the employees as pay revision after achieving statehood for Telangana. We have also given the Telangana increment. In future, too, we will give good salaries and allowances to the employees," KCR added.
Finance Minister Etela Rajender, Government Advisor G R Reddy, senior officials S Narsing Rao, Rajeshwar Tiwari, Ramakrishna Rao, Shiv Shankar, Vakati Karuna and Smita Sabharwal, Collectors Raghunandan Rao and M V Reddy, and others were present in the meeting at Pragathi Bhavan.
