Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi at the latter's Kalyan Marg residence.
Fresh from becoming Chief Minister for a second time by decimating the BJP among other parties, and right in the middle of a tour for forming an anti-BJP and anti-Congress Federal Front, KCR may have met Modi at a less than prudent time.
During the discussions, the Telangana CM urged Modi to speedily fulfill the promises enshrined in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014. The issues prominently discussed included the bifurcation of Hyderabad High Court and releasing a related gazette notification, division of the assets under schedules 9 and 10, and returning five building blocks in the Secretariat to Telangana.
KCR is learnt to have also discussed a hike in reservations, immediate permission for land for a new Secretariat at the Bison Polo Grounds, expansion of the Rajiv Highway and defence lands among others.
