Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao yesterday attended the wedding of the daughter of lyricist and newly appointed MLC Goreti Venkanna, in Hyderabad.
The CM blessed the newly-wed couple and conveyed his wishes for a happy future to them.
Ministers S Niranjan Reddy, V Prashanth Reddy and MLA Sudhir Reddy were also present at the wedding.
Later in the day, the CM left for a three-day trip to Delhi.
He took a special flight from Begumpet along with minister V Prashanth Reddy and MP Santhosh Kumar.
The visit may turn out to be a significant one as reports indicate that Rao is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his stay in the capital to seek the latter's support for the state's development programs and flood relief funds.
KCR is also likely to appeal to him to review the union government's contentious agriculture laws against which the farmers have been protesting for the last two months.
However, it remains to be seen whether the CM is granted an appointment with Modi at all.
While there, he is also likely to meet several union ministers including Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari, Hardip Singh Puri and Gajendra Singh Shekhavat to inform them about various issues being faced by the people of the state.
