Telangana BJP official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao today stated that Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao was anti-Hindu for reiterating that his (KCR's) government would provide 12% reservation to Muslims at all costs. He added that the promising to give such hikes in quota was not just a blatant lie but also unconstitutional and uncouth minority vote-bank politics.
In a statement on Thursday, Krishna Saagar Rao stated, "The BJP strongly condemns the open and shameless pandering for Muslim votes by the Chief Minister. Despite knowing that reservations limit set by the Supreme Court cannot be violated and that it is now criminal to indulge in vote-bank politics, the CM still take this decision."
Giving it a communal spin, the BJP leader said, "Any increase in reservation has to be drawn from the quota assigned to BC, SC and STs, itself. The BJP considers this as an unforgivable misadventure that will have negative consequences on the actual economically backward classes. The BJP is sure that CM KCR cannot deliver on this illegal, unconstitutional and uncouth promise. His designs only expose his pro-Muslim, anti-Hindu, anti-dalit mindset," he added.
