Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in Telangana to participate in the election campaign for the BJP for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections, today said that the TRS and the Congress were indulging in the politics of appeasement.
Criticising the functioning of the TRS at a public meeting in Sangareddy, Adityanath said that KCR's announcement that he would provide 12% reservation to Muslims was against the Indian Constitution, and that it was intended just to appease the community.
"The BJP will never support governments based on caste and religion. In fact, it is the Congress and the TRS that believe and indulge in divide and rule politics," he added.
Alleging that KCR had forgotten all his promises made to the people of Telangana before coming to power, Adityanath said that the BJP, if voted to power, would keep all its promises and usher in "Rama rajya" in the state. He appealed to the people to support the BJP and ensure the victory of its candidates in the December 7 Assembly elections.
Rajeshwar Rao Deshpande is contesting as the BJP candidate from the Sangareddy Assembly constituency.
