KCR Inaugurates Free 2BHK Housing Township In Kolluru
Built at a cost of Rs 1,474.75 crore, the township has a total of 15,660 housing units divided into 117 blocks in 145.5 acres of land.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today inaugurated a free double-bedroom dignity housing project named KCR Nagar at Kollur village in Sangareddy district.
To mark the occasion, the Chief Minister unveiled a pylon and planted a tree in the premises of the township.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by ministers K T Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Ch Malla Reddy, as also MPs, MLAs, MLCs, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, along with several other elected representatives and officials.
Built at a cost of Rs 1,474.75 crore, the township has a total of 15,660 housing units divided into 117 blocks in 145.5 acres of land.
Each housing unit comprises of a hall, two small bedrooms, two toilets, a kitchen and a utility within 560 sq ft of plinth area and 398 sq ft of carpet area.
The project is said to be the largest government-funded housing project in Asia.
Only 37% of the project has been used for construction purposes, with only 108 units per acre. Around 63% of the 145.5 acre township is allocated for open spaces, including roads, footpaths, playgrounds, social infrastructure and landscaping.
About 30,000 trees have been planted across the township, ensuring ample greenery.
Later, KCR also launched the process of the distribution of more than 60,000 housing units in various parts of Hyderabad to the beneficiaries.
