Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao exhorted his party leaders to undergo training regularly to keep themselves updated.
Addressing the valedictory session of the training program at Nagarjuna Sagar in the Nalgonda district on Monday, KCR announced that from now on, training sessions for party leaders and workers would be held once in every six months.
He expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the first training session, and advised his party colleagues to keep themselves updated so as to serve the people better.
KCR also claimed that his entry into politics was accidental as he was more inclined towards cultural and literary activities. Describing himself as an avid reader, he claimed that so far he had read over 70,000 books on a variety of subjects (at 365 days a year, that amounts to 3.14 books a day over the 61 years since he has been born). During tours, he said his bag of books used to be heavier than the bag that contained clothes.
The Chief Minister advised TRS leaders to stay away from corruption and focus on winning the people's heart. He said nobody lives for 1,000 years and money can be made even by selling cow dung. Therefore, the ultimate goal of joining politics should be to serve people. (INN)
