Leaders from Maharashtra, Chhatisgarh and Madhya Pradesh called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday and expressed their intention to work with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
Ahead of a huge public meeting to be held at Nanded in Maharashtra on Sunday, the meeting of leaders from the neighbouring State with KCR assumes significance.
The Maharashtra leaders, including former MPs and ZP Chairmen, appreciated the "welfare schemes and development activities being implemented in Telangana under the leadership of KCR", and said that KCR's leadership was necessary for the entire country.
United Front of India president Gopal Rishikhar Bharathi of Chattisgarh, former Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh) MP Bodh Singh Bhagat, former Bandara (Maharashtra) MP Kushal Bopche, former Chattisgarh minister Chachhilal Rathre and other leaders met the Chief Minister.
