The Congress leader said it was strange that KCR was praising both the Nizam and freedom fighters like Komaram Bheem who had fought against his rule.

Former Congress MP Dr Mallu Ravi on Friday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of praising the last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan only in view of the upcoming GHMC elections.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Ravi said that it was strange that KCR had been praising both the Nizam and the freedom fighters like Komaram Bheem who had fought against the Nizam's rule.
While the last Nizam did make a lot of contribution for the development of the erstwhile Hyderabad State, he also had a negative side, Ravi said. He claimed that KCR himself spoke about the atrocities by the Razakars during the Nizam's rule.
However, just in view of the GHMC elections, KCR had now started praising the Nizam, Ravi alleged.
Ravi asked KCR to either praise the Nizam or stand on the side of Komaram Bheem and other freedom fighters.
He said that instead of making statements to exploit the sentiments of the common people, the Chief Minister should focus on the real development of Hyderabad. (INN)
