A public altercation broke out on Tuesday at the BJP State office in Hyderabad between leaders of the National BC Welfare Association (BCWA) aligned with MP R Krishnaiah.
The incident occurred while the leaders were posing for photographs with BJP State president N Ramchander Rao. Gujja Satyam and Gujja Krishna, both members of Krishnaiah's faction, got into a heated argument that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
According to sources, Krishna, the National Convener of the BCWA, was allegedly pushed aside by a follower of Satyam, the association's National Vice-President, seemingly disregarding his seniority. This led to shouting and shoving between the two leaders, creating a tense situation. Ramachander Rao promptly intervened and managed to defuse the clash.
The BCWA leaders, along with MP R Krishnaiah, had visited the BJP office to seek the party's support for the BCs' Telangana bandh scheduled for October 18.
