BRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today slammed the opposition parties for "indulging in violence" against the ruling party leaders, and said that those leaders who didn't have courage to face the elections were stooping to violence and physical attacks.
Addressing a public meeting at Banswada in Kamareddy district, the CM said that today's attack on BRS MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy during an election campaign in Siddipet district was an attack on KCR himself.
"The opposition parties are attacking our candidates with knives. There are so many people in our party who can hold a sword and do something, but we don't encourage such mischievous acts. All BRS leaders who have been elected by the people have discharged their duties with utmost care and dedication, and none of them has indulged in any such evil deeds. But don't test our patience. We will not remain silent looking at such heinous acts. If you (opposition parties) continue to indulge in such actions, there will be severe consequences from the BRS, and you will not be left anywhere. Even dust will not be left," KCR said.
The Chief Minister also urged Telangana's intellectuals and elders, and all those who wanted the welfare of the State, to condemn such evil acts and politics of violence.
