Telangana BJP official spokesperson N V Subhash today called Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao a violator of the Constitution and the judiciary who had become intoxicated with power and money.
Even after a direction from the State High Court, the CM KCR failed to organise the customary Republic Day parade in the Secunderabad Parade Grounds, which was nothing but contempt of court, Subhash claimed.
He also said that KCR did not organise the event because he had no developmental works to showcase in the parade.
"Generally all States showcase their developmental works through attractive tableaus in the Republic Day parade. But the BRS government has nothing to show, and that is the reason for KCR cancelling the parade. Unfortunately, due to KCR's autocratic decision, the Telangana people have been deprived of participation in the Republic Day Parade," he alleged.
"And instead of respecting a constitutional post, KCR has adopted a confrontationist attitude with the Centre, which shows his arrogance," Subhash added.
Reacting to the comment of KCR that he (KCR) would implement the Telangana model across the country if the BRS were to be voted to power, Subhash said that the people of Telangana had already rejected KCR's model, and that they were determined to dethrone the corrupt and family rule of the CM in the coming elections.
"It is KCR's practice to promise the moon in the day by giving exaggerated figures and making tall impractical promises to the people, and later forgetting everything," Subhash alleged.
The BJP leader said that those leaders who were vying to join the BRS for a better political future would realise their mistake after the elections.
"The TRS become BRS with the sole aim of fulfilling the political desire of KCR and not to develop the country. KCR is just daydreaming that he will rule the country," Subhash added.
