Union Minister & BJP State president G Kishan Reddy was quick to react today on the cancellation of the Group 1 preliminary exam held by the TSPSC, by the Telangana High Court.
Reddy said that the exam was cancelled due to the inefficient public administration of CM K Chandrashekar Rao's government and its failure to take the right decisions.
"It is unfortunate that the Group 1 preliminary exams have been cancelled in the State for the second time in a row. The KCR government is trying to instill frustration among the four lakh unemployed youth who have applied for these exams. We all fought during the Telangana movement with the slogan of water, funds and appointments, but we are struggling for water and funds anyway. Now the failure of the State government in terms of recruitment has become a curse for the youth," he said.
"Though the recruitment notification clearly stated that it was mandatory to take the biometrics of the applicants to curb irregularities, they was not taken by the authorities. The resulting cancellation of the exam is clear proof of the lack of any commitment in the BRS government to provide legitimate jobs to the youth," he added.
Reddy alleged that the absence of photographs on the hall tickets and the removal of biometric screening had led to irregularities in the conduct of the examination, and that and that there was no option before the court except to cancel the exams.
