BJP floor leader in the Telangana Legislative Assembly Dr K Lakshman on Tuesday alleged that the wrong decisions being taken by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao were bringing shame to the entire State.
Addressing a press conference at the Telangana State BJP office, Lakshman said that the High Court's remarks against the TRS government on the Financial Assistance to the Students of Telangana (FAST) scheme were very serious in nature.
He said that this was the 5th time that the State government was being reprimanded by the courts.
He said that the wrong decisions being taken by KCR and his team were proving costly for the people of Telangana.
For instance, he said that students and their parents were put to hardship due to the controversy over EAMCET counselling.
Similarly, the issue of taking back APNGOs' land created a sense of insecurity among the people hailing from the Seemandhra region.
Lakshman said that the remarks of different courts against the State government exposed the poor performance of the TRS government.
He advised KCR to take corrective steps and work by taking the opposition parties into confidence.
He said that KCR should think of practical solutions, instead of facing humiliation and defeat in courts.
The BJP leader also condemned KCR for criticising the media for making the High Court's directive on FAST as the main headline.
He sought to know of the Chief Minister was now planning to dictate headlines for the newspapers.
"Are we living in a democracy or dictatorship?" he asked. (INN)
