Responding to the defeat of the BJP in the Karnataka Assembly elections, Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G Kishan Reddy today said that the mistakes committed by his party were responsible for its defeat.
He said that the party would accept the verdict of the people of the State and would regain dominance in the next year's Lok Sabha elections after correcting its mistakes.
Reddy said that the opposition of the people to the local government in Karnataka was also a reason for the party's defeat.
He also added that while the BJP had committed one mistake in Karnataka, the KCR government had committed a hundred mistakes in Telangana, and predicted that the people of the State would vote against the BRS in the upcoming elections.
Referring to news reports that the victory of the Congress in Karnataka had provided the much-needed courage to the BRS in Telangana, Reddy termed them as speculative.
