The groupism in the ruling Congress party in the state was on Monday glaringly evident when Jagan's supporters demanded action against his detractors.
According to reports, MLA Chandrasekhar Reddy, an avowedly staunch supporter of Jagan, demanded action against senior Congress leaders Palvai Govardhan and V Hanumantha Rao.
The MLA said that the 2 senior leaders have no standing before the YSR family, and said that they have no right to criticise a family which had done so much for people.
Earlier in the day, the PCC general secretary had lashed out against Jagan's detractors, and alleged that he was targeted for his loyalty to the YSR family.
He had questioned why no disciplinary action was invoked against people who had made controversial remarks made against YSR.
The PCC general secretary also questioned why no action was being taken against some senior party leaders who have attempted to discourage the party cadre by saying that nominees would lose their deposits if the Congress contested in the by-elections.
