BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today announced that Maganti Sunitha, widow of the late MLA Maganti Gopinath, would be the party's candidate for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.
The by-election was necessitated by the passing of Gopinath.
KCR convened a meeting at his farmhouse in Siddipet district with party leaders, including working president K T Rama Rao, and former ministers Harish Rao, Sabitha Indra Reddy, T Padma Rao and Mahmood Ali. During the meeting, the leadership unanimously greenlighted Sunitha's candidature.
