Telangana Bandh From February 22
TPJAC Convener Prof. Kodandaram on Friday stated that the JAC will intensify its non-cooperative agitation from Feb 13, followed by a Telangana Bandh from Feb 22.

Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) Convener Prof. Kodandaram on Friday stated that the JAC will intensify its non-cooperative agitation from February 13 to press the government to introduce a bill for the creation of a separate Telangana state in the budget session of the Parliament.
Talking to mediapersons at the JAC office in New MLA Quarters, Prof. Kodandaram said that the leaders of the region will take to the age-old practice of attracting people’s attention by beating drums. The Telangana leaders will then create awareness about the non-cooperation movement and the need for the introduction of the separate Telangana bill.
Prof. Kodandaram stated the ‘clarion call’ will happen on February 13 and 14, as set in the calendar of the non-cooperative agitation.
On February 15, the Telangana leaders will organise Jail Bharo, and on February 16, they will picket the houses of elected people representatives, seeking their resignations in support of a Telangana state.
On February 17, the JAC will call upon the people of Telangana to boycott the Census work taken up by the officials.
Earlier, Prof. Kodandaram summoned the people to travel in buses without buying tickets, and asked them to not to pay their property taxes, electricity bills and toll gate taxes to the government.
On February 18, the TRS activists would lay siege government offices and stall the administrative machinery in the state.
On February 19, he said the activists would besiege all national highways and disrupt traffic on all roads. On February 20, the activists would blockade national highway no. 9 and disrupt the traffic.
The JAC has called for an Telangana indefinite bandh from February 22 until the government announces Telangana state formation.
