Traffic Police To Seize Vehicles Parked On Roads
The police warned motorists who parked their vehicles on the roads for days together that they would be heavily fined, and their vehicles seized and auctioned.
Hyderabad Additional Police Commissioner for Traffic Ranganath today warned motorists who parked their vehicles on the roads for days together that they would be heavily fined and that their vehicles would be seized and auctioned.
Ranganath said that in several parts of the city, motorists left for their native places parking their vehicles on the roads for days together causing exasperating traffic jams.
The traffic police were being forced to tow the parked vehicles to traffic police stations with the help of cranes to ensure free movement of traffic, he claimed.
"Therefore, we have decided to seize all such abandoned vehicles. The drive will continue for a fortnight," the Additional CP said.
He appealed to the motorists not to leave their vehicles on the roads for days at a stretch and save themselves from hefty penalties and vehicle seizures.
