Telangana Transport Minister Mahender Reddy on Friday informed that a new model would be adopted for effective management of traffic in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Speaking to media persons at the State Secretariat, Reddy said that a team comprising officials of the TSRTC and the traffic wings of Hyderabad and Cyberabad police had visited Mumbai under his leadership to study its model of traffic management.
He said that interactions were held with the officials of related departments in Mumbai. Based on these interactions and observations, a comprehensive report would be presented to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the next 15 days proposing a new model of traffic management for Hyderabad and Cyberabad.
Mahender Reddy said that KCR was highly concerned about the traffic management in the city, and wanted better systems in place at the earliest. (INN)
