Hanuman Jayanthi Restrictions On Traffic, Liquor In City
The city traffic police have imposed restrictions on traffic due to the processions expected tomorrow. Wine and toddy shops will also stay shut in Cyberabad.

M Stephen Ravendra, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, said that in the interest of public peace and tranquillity, wine / toddy shops and bars attached to restaurants (excluding bars in star hotels and registered clubs) within the jurisdiction of the Cyberabad Police Commissioenrate would remain closed from 6 am on April 16 to 6 am on April 17 on account of Sri Hanuman Jayanthi celebrations on April 16.
The city traffic police also imposed restrictions on traffic due to the processions expected tomorrow. They have suggested the following routes for travel between 9 am and 2 pm:
Commuters coming from Lakdi Ka Pul and intending to go towards Dilsukh Nagar or the South Zone should go via Basheerbagh, Old MLA Quarters, Himayathnagar Y Junction, the Narayanaguda flyover, Barkathpura and Fever Hospital, take a right turn on Tilak Nagar Road, and proceed along the 6 No. Junction, Ali Caf? X Road and Moosarambagh to reach Dilsukh Nagar.
Commuters coming from Dilsukh Nagar intending go towards Mehdipatnam via Koti and DM&HS are suggested to travel via L B Nagar, Uppal, Tarnaka and Secunderabad, or via L B Nagar, Chandrayangutta, Aramghar and Attapur.
The police have suggested the following routes for travel between 2 pm and 7 pm:
Commuters coming from Lakdi Ka Pul and intending to go towards JBS, the Secunderabad station or Uppal should travel via V V Statue, Somajiguda, Greenlands, the Begumpet flyover, the Prakashnagar flyover and the Paradise flyover. From there the commuters may either take left towards the JBS, take right towards the Secunderabad station, or proceed straight towards St. John's Rotary for Uppal.
