The Hyderabad Monsoon Races of 2018 are scheduled to start on July 16 and conclude on October 29, with 28 race days framed for the season.
Hyderabad Race Club (HRC) Chairman R Surender Reddy said that the total advertised stakes were Rs 9.89 crores, with trophies of value Rs 14.74 lakhs. The stakes were expected to go higher with the division of the races. The stakes to horse ratio offered at the HRC was the highest in the country at Rs 1.88 lakh per horse, he claimed.

Reddy said that the HRC would also host the Indian Turf Invitation Cup Weekend Races on March 2 and March 3, 2019.
He added that 22 'A' licensed trainers at the HRC would be racing their wards during the season. In addition, there were also 35 licensed jockeys / apprentice jockeys. Some leading outstation trainers and jockeys would also participate in the classic and graded races during the season, he said. 717 horses are in station, including 192 two-year-old horses, and of these some 525 horses will be participating during the monsoon season.
