TPCC president and MLA Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud was today awarded the 7th Dan Karate Black Belt and a certificate by the Okinawa Martial Arts Academy in Hyderabad.
He earned this recognition after successfully completing a three-hour competition held at the YWCA, where he secured both the black belt and the certification.
Speaking on the occasion, he expressed his pride and joy in receiving the certificate.
"Karate is an integral part of my life, and I always make time to practice it, regardless of my schedule," Goud said.
He also addressed the challenges faced by today's youth, emphasising that many parents inadvertently imposed mental stress on their children by prioritising technology over physical activity. He urged parents to encourage their children to participate in sports.
The State President of the Telangana State Karate Association and Vice-President of the National Karate Association, he reaffirmed his commitment to promoting Karate competitions.
He also announced plans to bring the Asian Karate Championships to Hyderabad in 2027, promising to take the necessary steps to make it happen.
