Mayor Requests Citizens To Worship Clay Ganesh Idols

In order to protect the environment, for the upcoming Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations, the GHMC is making arrangements to distribute three lakh clay Ganesh idols to the citizens free of cost.

The idols are being distributed in circle offices from today (Saturday).

Instructions have also been issued to the Zonal Commissioners to make arrangements for an additional one lakh clay Ganesh idols for distribution to the citizens.

The HMDA too is distributing one lakh clay idols of 8" free of cost.

Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi appealed to the citizens to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with eco-friendly clay idols, and also keep the pandal premises neat and clean.
