Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today said that Telangana was the only State in the country providing free power supply to Ganesh pandals.
The Chief Minister today visited the "Sri Vishwashanti Mahashakti Ganapati" at Khairatabad in Hyderabad and performed special pujas.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy congratulated the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee for organising the festivities with grandeur for the past 71 years.
He said that the State government had extended every possible facility to pandals, including free power, to ensure that the Ganesh festival was celebrated with pomp and gaiety.
The CM also said that the government had identified the challenges during the festivities and resolved them through coordination with all departments. He also appealed to the devotees to celebrate the Ganesh idol immersion with devotion and utmost care.
He also said that adequate arrangements had already been made at Tank Bund for the Ganesh idol immersion.
