A 21-year-old man was murdered by a fellow student for allegedly having a relationship with a girl, at Abdullapurmet on the outskirts of Hyderabad, today.
The victim was identified as Naveen, a resident of Nalgonda, and was killed by his friend Harihar Krishna. Both were students of Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda.
According to the police, Harihar and Navin were both in love with the same girl from their university. However, Harihar did not like Navin hanging out with the girl, and was worried that Navin was getting closer to the girl. He decided to get rid of him, and so called him for a get-together to Abdullapurmet on February 17, killed him at an isolated spot and dumped the body at the spot and fled the scene.
When Navin did not return home, his family approached the police. The police took up investigation and found that Harihar was behind Navin's murder. They have registered a case of murder and begun an investigation.
