Man Held For Making Vulgar Comment On Disha

The police arrested a Chavan Sriram, 22, of Nizamabad district, for making a vulgar comment on Facebook about the gang rape and murder victim.

The Cyber Crime Police apprehended one Chavan Sriram, 22, of Fakirabad village under Navipet mandal of Nizamabad district, for making a vulgar comment on Facebook about the gang rape and murder victim Disha.

The CCPS police had on November 30 registered a suo moto case when some unknown persons had uploaded photos of Disha and also made vulgar and objectionable messages about her on the popular social networking site.

The case was registered in the Cyber Crime Police Station, Hyderabad, and is under investigation.

The accused used the profile name Stalin Sriram to upload the objectionable content, said Avinash Mohanty, Joint Commissioner, Detective Department, Hyderabad.

The police managed to track down Sriram today, and arrested him and produced him before a court.
