The polling saw tensions at various villages and polling stations as TRS and BJP activists came to blows after levelling allegations of money distribution against each other.
BJP activists protested against TRS leader Kaushik Reddy for entering into a polling station claiming to be a polling agent. In another place, BJP local leaders claimed to have caught red-handed some TRS leaders, and handed over the PS of MLA Aruri Ramesh to the police for allegedly distributing money to the voters.
BJP activists also staged a protest at the residence of corporator Deepthi alleging that TRS MLA Ramesh was distributing money to voters to support TRS candidate Srinivas Yadav. However, CP Satyanarayana said that no money was found at the house of the corporator, and that the MLA was not there either, but that the police had taken into custody three non-local people.
The police also seized three vehicles of BJP candidate Etela Rajender and took into custody his personal secretary for alleged violations of the model code of conduct.
In Jammikunta mandal tensions were seen as people queued up reportedly for money at the residence of the Sarpanch of Korapally village.
