An ACB court sent HMDA Director (Planning) Purushotham Reddy to two weeks' remand today.
It is known that over the past couple of weeks ACB officials had seized the documents pertaining to huge movable and immovable properties during raids on the residences of Purushotham Reddy and his relatives, valuing his assets reportedly at over Rs. 200 crores. The government had also issued Look Out notices to ensure that Reddy didn't leave the country as he went absconding immediately after the raids.
It all ended in Reddy surrendering before the ACB court today. The ACB judge remanded him to judicial custody till March 1.
The ACB also opened the lockers of Reddy's relatives today. They found gold and diamond ornaments in the lockers in Kotak Mahindra Bank.
