Wine Shops To Remain Shut For Two Days
The Hyderabad police today issued orders for the closure of all wine shops and restaurants bars in the city from 6 am on July 25 to 6 am on July 27.

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar today issued orders for the closure of all toddy and wine shops as well as of the bars in restaurants from 6 am on July 25 to 6 am on July 27 on account of the Secunderabad Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Jathara, part of the ongoing Bonalu festivities.
The order was issued in the "interest of public peace and tranquillity", and will be enforced within the limits of the following police stations of the Central and North Zones of the city -
In the North Zone: the Gopalpuram, Chilkalguda, Lalaguda and the Tukaram Gate police stations under the Gopalpuram division; the Mahankali Market, Marredpally, and Karkhana police stations under the Mahankali division; and the Begumpet and Trimulgherry police stations under the Begumpet division.
In the Central Zone: the Ramgopalpet police station under the Saifabad division and the Gandhinagar police station under the Chikkadpally division.
However, bars in luxury hotels and registered clubs will be exempted from implementing the closure.
In preparation for the celebrations, the Hyderabad traffic police have also issued a notice detailing the traffic curbs that will implemented between 4 am on July 25 and 10 pm on July 26.
According to the advisory, the road to the Mahankali Temple from Secunderabad's General Bazar will be closed to all vehicular traffic from July 25 till the conclusion of the Bonalu festivities.
