The state government on Friday bowed down to the impromptu stir by the Secretariat staff and decided to release their payments on Saturday.
The accounts of the staff will be credited with their salaries on Saturday before 2:30pm since the banks will function for half-a-day.
Earlier, the Secretariat staff met Chief Secretary S V Prasad and claimed that they had worked for all the days when the non-cooperation agitation began on February 17th.
Prasad had asked the staff to give a declaration that they had worked for all the said days.
Later, about 2000 staff members sat in dharna in front of the C Block and raised slogans like 'We want pay'.
The staff were led by G Hanumantha Reddy, who demanded that they be paid salaries for the month of February.
The TJAC leaders had also met Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy and discussed the issue.
