The rumours that the Anam brothers might change their loyalties are apparently true, and the stage is set for them to join the ruling Telugu Desam Party of Andhra Pradesh.
The Anam brothers, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Anam Vivekananda Reddy, today gathered inputs from their supports in the Kavali, Sarvepalli and Atmakur Assembly constituencies and held a meeting in Nellore with their supporters.
Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who was the finance minister in the previous Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet in united Andhra Pradesh, said that they would soon walk into the TDP. However, a final date was yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Congress leaders criticized the decision of the Anam brothers. Congress leader Shailajanath said that it was shameful that some power-hungry leaders were contemplating leaving the Party.
