Leaders of the Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers (TNGO), after discussing with a Group Of Ministers on Monday, decided to continue the non-cooperation agitation, as it (GoM) was inconclusive on some important demands made by the TNGO.
TNGO Chairman Swamy Goud said that they will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday again to study the issues. "The non-cooperation agitation will continue till then," he told mediapersons at the Secretariat. G Devi Prasad Rao, T Vittal, M Dayakar Reddy, V Srinivas Goud and others were also present at the press briefing.
According to some TNGO leaders, the government has agreed to revive the Girglani Commission Report. The government has also agreed for a TNGO delegation to go to New Delhi to decide on the 14(F) Clause on Hyderabad zone. The date for proceeding to New Delhi has not been decided so far.
This was the TNGOs' third meeting with the Group Of Ministers, and the staff leaders (TNGO) are expected to give a reply to the government after they have an internal meeting.
At another press briefing, Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was favourable to some of the demands, and appealed to the TNGO leaders to call off their stir in view of the losses suffered by the government during the past 11 days.
Listing out the benefits from the Central Budget, Ramnarayan Reddy said that Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has taken care of all the sections of the society. He hailed the Budget as a 'people's budget.'
Labour Minister Danam Nagender was also present in the meeting with the TNGO leaders.
