Govt Won't Allow Congress Unemployment Rally At OU
Telangana Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari condemned the Congress for proposing to conduct a "party program" at Osmania University without first seeking permission.
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today condemned the Congress for proposing to conduct a "party program" at Osmania University (the party had announced a rally of unemployed youth there on June 18).
Talking to reporters at the Secretariat, he took serious exception to the Congress state leadership announcing an event and even inviting AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi for it without first seeking permission.
He sought to know how the Congress could go in for such program in a university, and said it was unbecoming of a national party to misuse an academic environment like that.
The government would not give permission to the Congress' rally as it would turn out be a political program, he said. He asked the Congress leaders to conduct the program elsewhere like the one conducted in Sangareddy on June 1.
He reprimanded the opposition party for wanting to turn Osmania University into a stage for its political program.
