Governor, VIPs, Celebrities Vote In TS Elections

The Governor of the state, VIPs, politicians and film industry personalities turned up in huge numbers to cast their votes today in the Telangana Assembly elections.

Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh E S L Narasimhan and his wife Vimala Narasimhan cast their votes at Somajiguda, while the Chief Secretary of Telangana S K Joshi voted in Banjara hills. Telangana Principal Secretary for IT & Industries Jayesh Ranjan, IPS officer Swati Lakra and GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore also voted in Hyderabad.

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and his wife, Agriculture Minister Pocharam Sreenivas Reddy, Nizamabad MP K Kavitha, IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi who is contesting from Chandrayangutta, cast their votes in Banjara Hills, while Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari exercised his franchise at the Teacher's Colony polling station in Hanamkonda.

Telugu actors including Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Amala, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, Nithin, Manchu Lakshmi and Rana Daggubati, directors S S Rajamouli, Koratala Siva and Gopichand Malineni were also among those who hit the polling booths. Most of them shared their post-voting pictures on Twitter and appealed to their fans and the people of the state to cast their votes and be responsible citizens.

Akkineni Nagarjuna and his wife Amala in association with the GHMC released a video stressing on the importance of every single vote in a democracy.
