Chattisgarh Governor Lakshmi Narsimhan was sworn in as the new Governor of AP this morning at Raj Bhavan, by the High Court Chief Justice. AP’s CM Rosaiah, Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Ramakanth Reddy, and ministers were present at the ceremony.

N D Tiwari had resigned amidst state-wide furore over the alleged sex scandal, citing health reasons. The Congress high command had immediately called in E S L Narsimhan to take over.
