After yesterday’s bombshell that was dropped on AP’s constitutional head, many women’s groups, girl students from Osmania University and others have been flocking at the Raj Bhavan since morning.
Even though police were approached by citizens who wished for the Governor to get arrested, no FIR has been filed. There are vociferous and rather blunt demands for him to be ousted, but there has been no action taken by the Raj Bhavan so far. Protestors are being arrested by the police, instead.
Tiwari might be ousted by this evening, and there was talk of Shivraj Patil, Digvijay Singh, Shankar Narayan and Motilal Vora being considered for the alternative. There are reports that the Karnataka Governor might be given additional charges from this evening.
TDP’s Ashok Gajapathi Raju was among those who have condemned the act of the Governor, and he has termed it shameful, asking for action to be taken.
