Govt Collapse Any Time: Kodandaram
Telangana Political JAC convenor Kodandaram claimed that the administration in the state has been successfully paralyzed, and that "Telangana is definite".
Stating that the people have lost confidence in the government and that it might collapse at any time, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee convenor M Kodandaram on Tuesday claimed that even ministers are keeping away from all official functions and Cabinet meetings.
Kodandaram was addressing the gathering at a blood donation camp at the Mint Compound, organized by the Telangana Electricity Employees Joint Action Committee to express solidarity with the proposed general strike of employees due from August 17.
Expressing confidence that the formation of Telangana is 'definite,' Kodandaram stated that the government would collapse at any time since it has lost the confidence of the people.
The TPJAC chief told the gathering that the employees have garnered moral support even before their strike had been launched, in the form of ministers from Telangana who are abstaining from Cabinet meetings and are not participating in any official programs.
"Ministers from Telangana are already boycotting work. In addition to this, the strike of the employees will fully paralyse administration in the state. Telangana is definite," he said.
He expressed confidence that the ministers would also boycott the Independence Day celebrations on 15 August.
Pointing out that both the people and political parties are divided on the bifurcation issue, Kodandaram said only the Parliament can pass the Bill on Telangana statehood and create a separate state. (INN)
