Government Warns Agitating Panchayat Secretaries Of Dismissal
Taking a serious view of the ongoing strike by junior panchayat secretaries, the State government issued orders asking them to join duties immediately.
Taking a serious view of the ongoing strike by junior panchayat secretaries, the State government on Monday issued orders asking the agitating employees to join duties immediately.
If the employees failed to join duties by 5 PM on Tuesday, their services would be terminated, it warned.
Panchayat Raj secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania served a notice to this effect on the agitating employees.
Sultania said that the Secretaries had formed a union in violation of their agreement and gone on strike.
The agreement clearly stated that the secretaries could not join any service union / organisation / association, he said.
He added that regularisation of services could not be for all, but would be happen based on the assessment and evaluation of the performance of the contract employees by a committee appointed by the government.
"Only those whose performances are found to be satisfactory can be regularised," Sultania said in the notice.
The State government took this decision after Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao briefly discussed the issue with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The Junior Panchayat Secretaries have been agitating since April 29 across the State demanding the regularisation of their services.
