Congress Names Vikram Goud Its Mayoral Candidate
The Telangana Congress named the former minister Mukesh Goud's son contesting from the Jambagh division as the Party's candidate for GHMC Mayor.

The Congress has announced Vikram Goud as its mayoral candidate for the upcoming GHMC elections.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Uttam Kumar Reddy named the former minister Mukesh Goud's son contesting from the Jambagh division as the Party's candidate for GHMC Mayor, indirectly challenging the TRS to name its own candidate.
He also said that the Party had set up an Election Campaign Committee with Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao as its Chairman and former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana, MP Nandi Ellaiah, Rajya Sabha members M A Khan and Renuka Chowdhary, former ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and G Prasada Kumar, former MLA Marri Shashidhar Reddy, former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav and MLC P Sudhakar Reddy as its members.
The TPCC chief said that the Party leaders would intensify the campaign across the city from the 26th. He revealed that AICC general secretary in charge of Telangana Congress affairs Digvijay Singh would participate in the campaign on January 29, and that AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad would campaign in the Old City on January 30.
Reddy said that AICC chief Sonia Gandhi had appointed former MLA Arepally Mohan as the TPCC SC Cell Chairman. He also handed over the B-Form to Patolla Sanjeeva Reddy, who is the Party's candidate for the NarayanaKhed Assembly by-election.
Uttam Kumar Reddy exuded confidence that the Party would win in both the GHMC elections and the Narayanakhed by-elections.
