Congress Launches Scathing Attack On BJP
TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy lashed out at the BJP's national leaders for landing up in town to campaign for the GHMC elections.
Hyderabad | 29th November 2020
TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy today launched a scathing attack against the BJP leaders, and alleged that their behaviour was insulting to the residents of Hyderabad.
Expressing his displeasure at the increasing involvement of the BJP's national leadership in the party's campaign ahead of the GHMC elections, Reddy asked why Union Home Minister Amit Shah was coming to Hyderabad for a roadshow when he did not visit the capital after the unprecedented floods last month.
The TPCC chief also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and said that the PM had used his visit for the review of the development of the Covid-19 vaccine as a ruse for an election campaign.
He asked whether the vaccine would not be developed if Modi had not visited the city, and criticised the BJP and its leaders for their "cheap politics".
Reddy then attacked the party's state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, asking how the latter was even related to Hyderabad.
He also lashed out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and alleged that the CM had not talked about even a single development program in his campaign.
The CM had only been looting the state for the last six years, he added.
He also claimed that it was the Congress that had developed Hyderabad, and not the union government or the TRS.
