Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sameer Sharma on Thursday assured corporators that the budget of Rs. 50 lakh allotted as area development fund would be released under any circumstances in this financial year.
Dr Sharma also told the corporators that his doors are always open to them, and that they can meet him to raise problems in their divisions any time they want to.
Dr Sharma was addressing the corporators during the one-day orientation program held at the GHMC office on Thursday.
The GHMC Commissioner said that solutions to local problems are important for the development of the country.
Aleem Basha (Additional Commissioner Health and Sanitation) spoke about the GHMC's solid waste Management and Handling during the orientation programme.
Hyderabad Integrated Solid Waste Management project director Ravi Kanth assured the GHMC employees that though some vested interests have misguided the workers of the Ramky group that they would be terminated, the group will not terminate the services of even a single worker.
The Ramky group is in a Public-Private Partnership with the GHMC to manage the solid waste in the city.
