GHMC, Army To Jointly Take Up Road Widening

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Army officials reportedly are jointly identifying alternative roads in view of closure of main roads in the Secunderabad Cantonment areas from February 13.

This was decided in the meeting held between the municipal body and the military officials in the GHMC Head Office today. While interacting with the officials, the GHMC Commissioner said that the roads, which were identified earlier, had already been sent to the government and a decision was awaited. The 1.7 km roads survey along with other civic issues including water pollution in Ramkunta lake, underpass works at Neredmet, and removal of unauthorized encroachments and so on would be taken up after the joint inspection.
