The Nampally Criminal Court today granted conditional bail to singer Ghazal Srinivas, who was arrested earlier this month on charges of sexual harassment.
It also granted anticipatory bail to his accomplice Parvathi, who is the second accused in the case.
Srinivas was arrested by the Punjagutta police following a complaint of sexual harassment by an employee of a private radio station run by the SaveTemples Foundation, which had appointed the singer as its brand ambassador.
The police objected to the bail petition of Srinivas contending that he might tamper with evidence if granted bail. When asked by the court why Parvathi had not been arrested yet, the cops said that she was absconding.
After hearing the cases made by both sides, the court granted bail to both the accused, and directed them to appear before the Punjagutta police every Wednesday and Sunday.
