Bigg Boss Telugu season 7 winner Pallavi Prasanth was remanded by a Nampally court in connection with a public property damage case.
Prashanth was taken to the Chanchalguda jail after the court remanded him to 14-day judicial custody.
Prashanth is a remand prisoner in the jail now.
Prashanth's bail plea was also heard in the Nampally court. Prashanth's lawyer Julakanti Venugopal told the court that the illegal destruction of the property took place due to lack of proper security by the police. He also told the court that Prashanth was not aware of what happened outside.
The court adjourned the verdict on the bail to Friday (December 22).
According to the police, Prashanth's fans resorted to vandalism after the Bigg Boss finale. After the Bigg Boss finale, Prashanth went for a rally in defiance of police orders and stopped vehicles on the road, following which some people indulged in vandalism. A case has been registered against them for attacking private vehicles, RTC buses and police vehicles, and damaging them. The police, who have taken the incident seriously, are in the process of identifying the attackers, using videos and CCTV footage. The police have so far identified 16 people and detained them, four of them being minors. While the 12 adults will be produced before the court after a medical examination, the minors will be produced before a Juvenile Justice Board.
