Gandhi Bhavan Locked Up To Avoid Untoward Incidents
Continuous agitations by the supporters of discontented Congress leaders prompted the officials of Gandhi Bhavan, the TPCC headquarters, to lock it up on Monday.
Continuous rounds of agitations by the supporters of discontented Congress leaders prompted the officials of Gandhi Bhavan, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters, to lock it up on Monday to avoid any untoward incidents there.
Entry into the party headquarters was restricted to only the office bearers and other important leaders of the party.
According to senior party leaders, the party had to take the decision to lock up the entrance of the party office as there was no sign of abatement in the protests by the supporters of various party ticket aspirants. For example, the agitation by the supporters of Khanpur Congress leader Hari Naik entered the fifth day, and the agitation by the supporters of the party leader from the Malkajgiri Assembly constituency entered the fourth day.
The supporters of another party leader and former MLA of the Vardhannapet Assembly constituency, Kondeti Sridhar, also staged a dharna on Monday demanding a ticket for their leader.
