The Congress' State headquarters Gandhi Bhavan in Nampally was crowded today with aspirants applying for the party tickets, and their followers.
Sources at Gandhi Bhavan revealed that around 200 applications had been received till yesterday from the aspirants, and that the number of aspirants was likely to increase in the days to come.
August 25 is the last day for application, and the TPCC expects another 200+ applications by then.
Meanwhile, many ruling BRS party leaders from Shankerpally of the Chevella Assembly constituency joined the Congress at the residence of TPCC President Revanth Reddy in Jubilee Hills.
Reddy warmly invited the leaders by donning them the party scarf.
Shankarpally PACS Director Rajasekhar Reddy, former Market Committee Director Srikanth, BJP's former ZPTC Ravinder and many former Sarpanchs and other BRS party activists were among those who joined the Congress.
