Telangana Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy today said that the State government would supply free power for nine hours during the day for crops for the upcoming Rabi season.
Talking to mediapersons in Nalgonda, the minister said that the KCR government would keep its promise of nine-hour power supply to the crops, and arrangements to this effect were being made.
Accusing the Congress of resorting to murky politics through organizing padayatras on the farmers' suicides, Reddy said that though the State had got rid of the problem of anti-Telangana leaders by achieving statehood, the Opposition leaders were still acting against Telangana's development and the welfare of its people.
He said that the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party leaders were resorting to mud-slinging against the government for cheap publicity, thereby becoming impediments to the progress of Telangana.
However, despite foul play by the Opposition, the Chief Minister was determined to take the State forward on the path of development, he said.
